Board Members

CEO/Chairman of the Board - Bobby Malanga (right) founded Prescribing Hope in 2007. He has a degree in Cell and Developmental Biology and a minor in Chemistry from CSUF. Bobby is a recent graduate of the Howard University College of Medicine. He is currently obtaining his MPH from John's Hopkins University.

Vice President in charge of Prescribing Hope's Emergency Response Unit - Carlos Millan has a degree in Molecular Biology with a minor in Chemistry from CSUF. He is currently an MS3 at the Howard University College of Medicine.

Board Member, Vice President in charge of all operations within Mexico - Katie has earned an associates degree in chemistry from OCC, and bachelors degree in Cell and Developmental Biology from CSUF. She has been volunteering with Prescribing Hope since 2010 and plans to become a Physician Assistant.

Board Member - Natalia Cardenas has a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of California, Irvine. She is a certified EMT and is currently working toward a master of Public Health and master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Touro University.

Board Member - Brenda Jimenez has a Bachelors Degree in Health Science with a minor in Chemistry from CSUF. She is currently a first year PA student at Western University.

Advisory Board - Joana obtained her B.S.in Biological Sciences from California State University, Fullerton. She went on to California State University, Los Angeles to complete a post-baccalaureate program and obtain a M.S. in Biological Sciences. After a year internship at City of Hope, she started medical school at the University of California, San Francisco in the Program in Medical Education for the Urban Underserved (PRIME-US).

Advisory Board - Mandy Morales has spent over a year as the clinic coordinator at Prescribing Hope's free medical clinic in Jacume, Mexico and is also in charge of managing Prescribing Hope's 80+ clinical volunteers. Mandy's devotion to whole-person care has helped Prescribing Hope focus on preventative medicine and patient education in communities with no history of medical assistance. Mandy is currently an MS2 at the SABA University School of Medicine.

Advisory Board - Conrad Williamson graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a Bachelors of Science in Health Sciences. He is currently an EMT with certifications in CPR & First Aid, and an MS4 at the UC Davis School of Medicine.

Advisory Board - Ernesto Casillas graduated from California State University Fullerton with a degree in Biological Science. Ernesto is currently working as a biomedical scientist at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda, Maryland.

Clinic Coordinator - Arturo has earned a bachelors degree in Economics from UCR, and a bachelors degree in Biology from CSULA. He has been volunteering with Prescribing Hope since 2012 and plans to become a Physician.

Pharmacy Coordinator - Diana is currently working on her bachelor's degree in Cell and Developmental Biology and minors in Gerontology and Chemistry at Cal State Fullerton. She has been volunteering with Prescribing Hope since 2013 and is working on becoming a Physician.

Triage Officer - Phillipe is pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant. He has earned an associates degree in Fire Science and is currently working towards a bachelor’s degree in both health science and school education from CSULB. Phillipe has been actively involved with Prescribing Hope since 2013.
